Internship under KDISC YIP scheme
Internship opportunities in Young Innovators Programme
Young Innovators Programme (YIP) https://yip.kerala.gov.in is the flagship program of the Government of Kerala anchored by K-DISC that promotes real-world problem- solving through innovation among students in the State aged 13 to 37. YIP has over 8000 registered educational institutions. The seventh cohort of the program has been in progress since 15th June 2024. The last cohort, YIP 6.0, saw over 2,00,000students registering and student teams submitting around 25,000 ideas. YIP is now offering internships for students who have completed their engineering courses. The internship will be for a duration of three months starting 1st August 2024. There is no stipend during this time, however, they will be issued certificates by the Government of Kerala on successful completion of internships.
The role description is as follows.
Orient students and faculty members in colleges about the Young Innovators Programme.
Assist the District Program Executives of K-DISC in conducting evaluation and training at various levels.
Facilitate Voice of Stakeholder connect with Domain Experts for the ideators.
Facilitate Mentor connect for the ideators who are carrying out projects.
Assist in social media campaigns.
