SOTI announces SOTI Next Gen Campus Recruitment Drive 2024 for freshers (for those who are completing their studies in 2025). It is my pleasure to invite your esteemed institution, to participate in the drive.

Students may take their test from anywhere-including home or college. It is a proctored (closely watched & recorded) test. Students may use their laptops. Camera should be functioning.

Test Details

1.      Type of Test: Coding questions.

2.      Choice of Languages: there will be five languages to choose from, including C++, C#, Java, Python and JavaScript.

3.      # of Questions: 3

4.      # of Test Cases:

         Each question will have two to five Test Cases. There are two types – Default Test Cases and Basic Test Cases.

         Default Test Cases will help ensure that the candidate’s solution is on the right track. These Default Test Cases are NOT marked.

         Basic Test Cases are marked. Please attempt ALL the Basic Test Cases.


Date & Time of Test

Date: Saturday, July 27, 2024

Time: 9:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. (Test will only be active during this time)

·       9:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. (Read & complete login process)

·       9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. (Login time)

·       9:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. (Test)

 

Test Link & Instructions

1.      Candidates will receive the test link as well as the test instructions on Thursday, July 25, 2024, via email.

2.      Please remind candidates to check their junk/spam folder.

3.      Note: If the candidate cannot locate the email, candidates will not receive an additional link – there are no exceptions.

4.      Choice of Languages: Candidates will have five languages to choose from, including C++, C#, Java, Python and JavaScript.

 

System Compatibility Check (As soon as you receive the test link on July 25, 2024)

1.      Candidates will receive a System Compatibility Check link along with the Test link in the email.

2.      Please make sure that the candidate runs the compatibility check prior to the test date to ensure that their system is compatible. The compatibility check will assess the candidate’s browser, Internet bandwidth and any firewalls that may restrict/impact the Test link, their microphone and/or their camera.

3.      If the candidate’s system is not compatible, please ensure alternate arrangements are made.


Candidate Test Link

1.      Candidates will receive the test link by Thursday, July 25, 2024, in their registered email. If they cannot locate the email, they should check their spam/junk folders.

2.      If the email address is wrong, candidates will not receive an additional Test link.

 

Candidate login process (On July 27, 2024)

1.      Open the email with the Mettl link and click on it.

2.      It will ask for the following student information: College name, email, etc. Enter the data correctly during registration.

 

List of things permitted during the test

1.      College ID Card with photo (only for those taking the test on campus)

2.      Paper

3.      Pen

4.      Calculator

*MOBILE PHONES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITTED DURING THE TEST*

 

Instructions to all candidates

1.      DO NOT use mobile phones or other devices while attempting the test.

2.      DO NOT use shortcuts (not even Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V/Ctrl-S) or toggle between tabs.

3.      DO NOT open other tabs or a browser.

4.      DO NOT look anywhere other than the screen.

5.      DO NOT talk to others.

 

The test is proctored (closely watched). After a few attempts, you will be automatically locked out. Once locked out, you will NOT be given a second chance to complete the test.

Submitting your work

Please ensure you click the submit button before the time is up. If you do not click submit, you may lose your work.
